The Pungent Sound
"November of The Beast EP"
Eyes, Wings And Many Other Things Debut Release Our freaky folked out boys Eyes, Wings And Many Other Things finally have their debut release "Tonsils, Toes, And Everyone Knows" coming out on September 5th. A CD release show is set up in Dallas for those of you lucky enough to attend you can catch them there and purchase the CD. You can also pick up a physical pre order of the disc for the low price of 8 bucks and get a free Indian Casino sampler as well. We are excited as hell about the release of this disc and hope you grab a copy. The initial release is a limit run with exquisite packaging. Subsequent printing will be standard jewel case runs. Indian Casino Celebrates one Year in the Red Well folks, somehow we've managed to keep our doors open for a year. You would think we were smart enough to throw in the towel in these wretched economic times when CD sales are in the toilet but nope, here we are a year later, broke as we were last year still putting out great releases with no end in sight. Anyhow, you can get all of our stuff on the digital outlets or for you nostalgic folks, you can buy it all on disc right from this website. Thanks and here's to another year of great releases. Next up: Eyes, Wings, and Many Other Things debut... Barrel Delux EP Coat Hanger available digitally and on disc! May 19th, 2008 Yes indeed folks, the first release form the splendid Americana Ft. Worth charmers and snake handlers is finally here! This 6 song baby is sure to please the melodic side of your brain. Click here to stream two songs form the EP. This release is also avilable digitally on iTunes and Rhapsody. If you don't use Rhapsody, it's a great streaming digital service that costs about 11 bucks a month to consume as much music as your ears can handle.
Transient Songs CD "Plantation to Your Youth" available online and to order April 17th, 2008
We have set it up online so you can stream it or just download the whole thing for free also if ya really want. Although we recommend at least burning it and sitting in front of a stereo and listening, you can stream it here. And if you want to get a real CD, you can buy it here. We think there are a lot in the nuances and subtleties in the music on this disc and if you are listening to it as background music or on lame computer speakers you might miss some really cool bits. Headphones are A-OK though. The EP is chocked full of Northwest psychadelia and dense pop so grab your favorite vice and let your head fill up with the hazy orange fog of Transient Songs. Eyes, Wings, and Many Other Things signs on to release first full length on Indian Casino Records. Release out in mid May Feb 18th, 2008 Old Indian Casino pal Sean French was in the Seattle area to catch a couple shows recently and we had a chance to hang out at Indian Casino headquarters and listen to some new recordings and talk a little business. Sean's project is called Eyes, Wings, and Many Other Things. We hashed out a contract over a couple of pints, he was wined and dined Indian Casino style and now we are ready to go. Sean has been working on the project for a while and I was pretty impressed when I heard it. It's an airy and ashy album with a lot of room for the dust and breeze to waft its way through the songs. Without a PR blurb here, I would best describe the music as a bit creepy, sparse, whimsical at times and leaves a lot of room to let the imagination float. A perfect companion album for an evening of chilling out on the davenport and forgetting about all the days troubles and all of the cliche bands out there. Click here for an MP3 of the track "Everybody Goes to Sleep" track from the album. After we get the art and mastering wrapped up, look for the full length CD in physical format on Amazon, digitally on iTunes and Rhapsody.
