Rock and Roll Another

Burnout Timeline

A sprinkle of Sabbath, a dash of Lemmy, a couple hits off the bong, tube amps louder than the passing trains, and plenty of cheap booze mix together in a sweltering tin shack to produce a stew of Texas fried Rock frequencies. "The Make Mine a double E.P." chugs with roaring bass lines, swampy grit n glam tinged guitars, vocals scratched like a worthless Texas lotto ticket, and drums tighter than the singer s belt. The Me-Thinks have been making their brand of shag party rock in a little tin shack on the outskirts of Ft.Worth for nearly 10 years and have hardly left the state. The Me-Thinks have an un wavering desire to get loaded and pump out Rock n Roll that has little inspiration or concern from music coming out these days. Beyond the imbibing lyrics some of the songs musically are as deep as the Rio Grande.  - Great Indian Casino Publicist

Reviews / Quotes

Charge your glass often enough and this band could be your life. Playing the sort of music that hasn't a pork chop's hope in a synagogue of being devoured by mainstream radio - i94

Grinding, Rockin, dirty, drunk, high voltage tube amp tore up vocal bliss. Guitars dirtier than a Northside whore. This double E.P. might give you a hangover. - CD Baby Customer Review

Their latest effort comes jam-packed with enough sonic thrills to satisfy any fan of the Hellacopters, Turbonegro, Motorhead, or AC/DC. Hard-edged, hyper-aggressive, relentlessly rollin' with a fair amount of humor and a degree of pathos in their lyrics (dig anthems "Burnout Timeline," "Bong MacGyver," "Partyboy," "Permanent Krokus," and "God Bless Haltom City" in particular), this is music to break your lease by. Fire up or pop the top on the lifestyle appurtenance of your choice and enjoy.  - Ken Shimamoto, Ft. Worth Weekly
