The Pungent Sound Releases Music Images Links |
November of the
Beast
Harvested from the marshy soil of the Pacific Northwest, The Pungent Sound is also indigenous to the humid regions of the south. Although the aural middle ground between Ray Liberio (Me-Thinks) and Jon Frum (Transient Songs), the lineage of The Pungent Sound can be traced all the way to Boleskine house on the cold and dreary shores of Lochness where the beastly idea for the band was conceived. Swampy bass and drums bubble like a sorcerers cauldron underneath gritty guitars that slither through the songs like a primordial sea monster with murderous and majestic vocals that weave midnight tales of basement incantations, 18th century Sea explorations, and modern day over indulgence. Preferring to spend as much time on the astral plane as the physical one, The Pungent Sound look to The Secret Chiefs for divinity and inspiration to create the otherworldly sounds and tales that are placed upon the alter of sound before you. |
